About
A free spirited, wander happy, world exploring Gemini who is obsessed with all kinds of art but especially street art; and enjoys seeing the world, embraces new cultures and who is constantly seeking growth as a human. I love to surround myself with creative people, those who see no limits, no buts, the ones that go for their dreams against all odds, the ones that have nothing and make it into everything, good kind, sweet human beings, the gentle warriors, the kind leaders, the ones who inspire, are upstanders and light the world up with their gifts.
Born in a small town but moved before primary school age and raised in what I call it – the concrete jungle of Berlin – with four siblings and a dominant east side presence, I was destined to walk off the beaten track and find my own way, influenced and inspired by many and others. Art being a constant companion.
I moved to Ireland two decades ago, studied Humanities, Radio Broadcasting and took a Law course. I have a long standing strong interest in human rights and equality and one of the major reasons why I chose to study the above mentioned fields. I am also a long term supporter of individuals, organisations and initiatives that support human stories behind world issues such as The Worldwide Tribe and Khaled Hosseini’s efforts to create a better, fairer and humane world.
I have a bohemian soul and can often be found taking the road out of the city to hike and explore my little green island. Between the great outdoors, I have found so many things in life that I feel passionate about, combining it all is what makes me happy – creativity is my soul’s oxygen..
In November 2018, faced with a very challenging time, I turned to acrylics and a blank canvas. I didn’t have a clue what I was doing and let my emotions run wild. My emotional abstract art journey started there and then. Acrylics, so many colours, music, poetry and emotions all joined forces on a blank page, Friday evenings, throughout my weekends and traveling through the weeks and months. Layers over layers - pouring not just the paint but also my inner everything out; fearless, fierce, yet vulnerable and at times very emotional. What makes emotional abstractism so beautiful is: what I see - you won’t see. What I feel when I look at it - you won’t feel. Your thoughts are your thoughts, Your emotions when you look at my paintings, are your emotions - unique to you, your circumstances, your life, your being, 100% YOU - connecting my art with you. Knowing that I physically didn’t touch the canvas until it was completed, makes it most authentic and raw. And so the journey continues…
PS.: I’m a true believer that kindness matters - always! If you have nothing nice to say, paint. If you want to share your happiness with the world, paint. Whatever it is and whatever you do, allow art & sunshine in your life.
